I got the idea for this blog one day when I was taking a walk with my friend Sarah. She said something about how she was really scared to be around me when I first got sick, but that now she knows my life isn't that different from hers and that I'm still the same person. I want everyone else to know that, so I'm blogging!

Earthquake and Tsunami
My heart goes out to all those affected by the disaster in Japan. I was so sad to see it on the news when I woke up this morning. I hope the people of Japan and other affected areas can heal from this quickly. I don't know anyone who lives in Japan, but Eli and Elyssa do. They have a friend who is from Tokyo but lives here in the States. She emailed Elyssa and said that all of her family members in Japan are safe, but that they did feel the quake. Elyssa's friend said it was really scary for her cousins who live just south of Tokyo.

My mom's friend just moved to Northern Tokyo...yesterday actually. She was very concerned luckily we have heard from Brianna. She is shaken and scared, but not hurt. She is glad she didn't unpack yet!

Reagan, I'm so glad your mom's friend is okay! She must have been so scared!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling the same way as you right now. Although I do not get along with Jess (I do, however, get along with her twin Alexandria), I wish their aunt the best and I am nervous for her. I wrote more about their situation on my blog, but I just hope that their aunt is OK.

Thanks Tay, her friend was sooooo scared. She was halfway tempted to get herself right back on a plane and head back to the US, but with all the chaos, she probably wouldn't have been able to get back anyway. Plus she already paid for the place.
